Hans Helmerich, 61, is the Chairman of the Board of Helmerich & Payne, Inc. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Previously, he served as the Company’s CEO for 25 years.

Helmerich & Payne, Inc. (HP, NYSE) is the largest provider of land drilling services in the U.S. with a market cap of over $4 billion.  As of September 30, 2019, the Company’s fleet includes 299 land rigs in the U.S., 31 international land rigs, and eight offshore platform rigs.

Helmerich is a board member of an additional NYSE company, Cimarex Energy Co., and also a Trustee of Northwestern Mutual Life. Prior directorships include Atwood Oceanics, Inc. and the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. His community service includes current or past Chairman of Gilcrease Museum National Board, Indian Nations Council, Boy Scouts of America, and Tulsa Community Foundation. Helmerich graduated from Dartmouth College and completed Harvard Business School’s Program for Management Development. Hans Helmerich is married to Lea, they have five children and seven grandchildren.
