This month our keynote speaker is Nationally Acclaimed Tax Strategist & CPA, Dan Skerbitz.
Daniel P. Skerbitz, CPA, is a nationally recognized expert in nonprofit and religious organization taxation with over 35 years of experience in public accounting. Starting at Ernst & Young in 1989, he progressed through roles at Tulsa-based CPA firms, becoming Partner at CRI Advisors, LLC (formerly Stanfield + O’Dell, P.C.), where he served as CEO and President from 2017 to 2023 and Partner-In-Charge of the Tulsa office. He specializes in tax advisory and accounting services for churches, ministries, and clergy nationwide, assisting large religious organizations, small startups, and individual missionaries with IRS compliance under Section 501(c)(3). Recently self-employed, Dan continues providing expert consulting on financial reporting and tax matters.
Originally from northern Minnesota, Dan has lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since 1989 with his wife Irina and their four children. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oral Roberts University (1989, Summa Cum Laude) and has been a licensed Oklahoma CPA since 1992. His accolades include AICPA Not-For-Profit Certificates, leadership training from The Partner Institute and Leadership Tulsa, and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs Silver Pen Award (2022). Active in community efforts, he co-founded Personhood Oklahoma, served on Oral Roberts University alumni boards, and has presented seminars and authored publications on church taxation in outlets like The Church Network and CPA Focus.
